Studio FAQ

What to wear to class

  • Close-fitting sports wear is recommended: Leggings (short or long) and a sports top plus optional tank tops, t-shirts, or long-sleeve shirts as an extra layer if this is your first time on the hammock.
  • Socks optional.
  • Please DO NOT wear any clothing with metal or hard components (zippers, buttons, etc.) as these may damage the hammock fabric.
  • Please DO NOT wear any jewelry as these can hook onto fabrics and apparatuses and cause injury to you and damage to the equipment.

What to bring

  • Smiles, laughter, and a sense of adventure!  (Concentration faces are welcome too 😉)
  • Leave egos, negativity, and embarrassment at home.  We're here to have fun!
  • Water. Other food & drink can be left in the waiting area.
  • Optional: Portable tripods, if you'd like to film yourself and keep track of your progress.

Class rules

  • Arrive at least 5 minutes early for class. Class will start at the scheduled time promptly.
  • Notify your instructor of any injuries, so we can offer modifications and ensure your safety.
  • Remove outdoor shoes when entering the practice space.
  • Use the restroom before class to avoid disruptions to your and others' practice.
  • Avoid using strong scents. Hammocks are fabric and will absorb scents.
  • Clean your mats and props according to your instructor's instruction.
  • Please DO NOT post other people on social media without their permission. If you cannot find a good angle to avoid filming people in the background, talk to your instructor and we will help you find one.  If someone does still end up in your background despite our efforts, common courtesy is to use editing software to blur them out. (Don't worry about instructors in your video.  We signed up for this. *Unless you catch us at a really bad angle, then don't tag us. 😂)

Children and dogs in the waiting area

If your child(ren) or furry children are able to sit quietly in the waiting area, they are welcome to come!

Registration and cancellation time limits

  • Registration opens 2 weeks before a scheduled class.
  • Registrations can be cancelled up to 12 hours before a class.  After which time, the points/fee will not be returned/refunded. This is so that our instructors can plan their schedules ahead of time. If you need to cancel less than 12 hours before a class, please message us privately with a valid reason and we will do our best to assist you.
  • Some classes require a minimum number of sign-ups to run. Students will be notified of class cancellations 12 hours before the class start time and will be refunded if a substitute class cannot be arranged.
