When I moved back to Vancouver from Taiwan in 2023, I had a hard time finding an aerial studio with the style I was used to training in. The aerial yoga style I loved was flowy and dance-like: a sequence of movements connected together, usually building toward a beautiful “peak pose.” It’s the style you often see on social media, performed in soft, ballet-inspired studios.
When my sister and I were little, we dreamed of opening our own dance studio someday: a space where we could create freely and spend all day together. Years later, when finding a studio to train and film in became more and more difficult, I finally decided to take the leap and open my own space, with lots of encouragement from my family and friends.
I chose to continue our family brand and keep the same name: Everose.
One thing that surprised me was how much my past work experience prepared me for this. From product development to marketing and branding, I suddenly found myself using skills from every stage of my life. Even my computer and graphics background became useful for content creation. It’s been really special seeing all my interests come together in one place.
Most importantly, I wanted the studio to feel feminine, balletic, graceful, and welcoming.
If you haven’t visited yet, come play. 😊 I hope the studio brings you as much laughter and happiness as it brings me.
